Apple Day 2!

Wow what a fun morning it has been!!

We worked together as a class to make Applesauce! Our room is smelling so good! YUMM!

We were able to each use the Apple Core peeler- we thought this was SUPER cool!!! And it really was! :)

Next we did some apple taste testing and decided which apple we liked best! We then colored our apple our favorite, and stuck it up on our 4k Favorite Apple Tree in the hall!! We have a lot of green and yellow!

We were learning all morning about the different parts of an apple ( stem, leaf, core, seeds, flesh, and skin) We were put into teams where we had to work together to label our apple! We did an AMAZING job!!! We worked very well as a team and talked to one another about were certain labels go! They look great!!! We all had to "Kiss Our Brains" because we are all so smart and did such a fantastic job!

Before heading to Library, we had to color blank apples that were labeled their color! We can read Red, Yellow, and Green!!!! We sing songs to help us remember the spelling!

Lastly, we were able to finally enjoy our Applesauce! Most of us LOVED it! :)

Retell

Retelling a Story: 

Today,  your child heard the story, "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See"; and made a "retell bracelet." This will be used as a tool to help your child recall events that occurred in the book. 

Please encourage your child to retell you the story at home, using their created bracelet.

First Day of School Fun!

Aloha! Aloha! The end of the summer is sadly coming to an end! However, I am so excited to meet you all! I have been busy at work making the classroom ready for you! It is looking great so far! Our first day of school will be Monday, August 28th- but we are not ready to say "good-bye" to summer quiet yet!  To help us feel at home in our new classroom, where we are "themed" under the water/island life.....I want you too...... Grab your lei's and Hawaiian shirts for the first day of school!!! :))  We are going to have the best 1st day of school classroom picture together, ever! :)) Don't forget! :))
